A word from the composer:
Dia dhuit, is mise Megan. I’m an award-winning media composer, specialising in cinematic soundtracks with a Celtic influence. My work is deeply inspired by Irish traditional music and the beauty of the natural world. GRMMA for taking the time to listen to my music!
I composed and performed everything in this demo specifically to your brief, including the tin whistle, low D whistle and vocals. The jig is my own too.
Is breá liom gach rud faoi Éire – especially trad music, folklore, mountain hiking, set dancing and of course, an Ghaeilge. I particularly look up to composers such as Seán Ó Riada and Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and I love working with other trad musicians.
I would absolutely love to be involved with Bibdu. It’s essentially my dream project, partly because I have a personal connection to many locations in the game, but also because Bibdu is all of my favourite things in one!
The other thing is that I’m just about to go into my final year of university, which means that I could write Bibdu’s soundtrack as a dissertation project and the timeline would be perfect. I’d have lots of time to dedicate to writing the very best music that I’m capable of. Let me know if this is something that might interest you! Míle buíochas 🙂
